I have been using TypeWell for almost 16 years, and for the amount of highly technical and science based classes that I transcribe, the built-in dictionary is outstanding. I also like that I can have separate dictionaries for each class, and enable and disable them as I need to. Although I don't use MathMode in the classroom on a regular basis, I do use it extensively in the editing process, making it easier for the student to reference the equations. Beyond the exceptional software, TypeWell tech support is hands down the best. Whenever I've had an issue, they immediately get back to me with a solution. TypeWell trained me over 10 years ago, and now I am responsible for mentoring recent grads from the program. TypeWell's training program is thorough and prepares new transcribers to start transcribing (with a mentor) as soon as they pass the training. Sometimes the training software can be nit-picky, but the real life teachers let students know when that is possible and give thorough feedback. The software itself works amazingly well for accurate meaning-for-meaning transcription. I recommend Typewell for transcribing service and real time captioning. It's great for real time classroom, recorded transcription, and meetings/meeting minutes.
